Yoga for Gratitude-November 21

come hold your heart with gentle hands

Mindfully cultivating and embracing selfless gratitude is a lifelong practice.  Gratitude can soften a heart that has become too guarded, helps to build the capacity for forgiveness, and enriches your life experience and perspective.

Come savor a practice of filling you up from the inside with deep, heartfelt gratitude and appreciation
Wednesday, November 21 from 7:30-9pm.

This special class will be donation yoga.  If you already have a class card, it will be one class.

“This being human is a guest house / Every morning a new arrival. / A joy, a depression, a meanness / some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. / Welcome and entertain them all! / Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows / who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture. / Still, treat each guest honorably. / He may be clearing you out for some new delight.” (The Essential Rumi)

Nourishing your Roots Mindful Movement Mini Retreat

Nourishing your Roots
Mindful Movement Mini Retreat  at One Yoga Philly

Sunday, October 21st

During this sacred season of transition, I’ve found it important to take time out to care for self.  Which is sometimes (honestly…A LOT of times) very difficult for me to care for my entire being.  So much of my energy goes out during this time of raising small children, that unless I mindfully carve time out to care for my foundation and my roots, it slips through the cracks.

If you are feeling called to care for your self in a compassionate, and loving way, please join me in our Mindful Movement Mini Retreat this Fall to connect with your rooted foundation amidst this season of change.

We will begin our Mini Retreat by crafting a mindful intention, and moving in a way that feels organically flowing from the inside-out and reaching down and tapping into those all-knowing roots.  This restorative class will end with a lovely extended savasana to restore and rejuvenate the body.

We will then share in the company of friends a calming glass of herbal tea with some nutritive grounding properties I’ll look forward to sharing that one of my teachers has shared with me.

No experience necessary, except the intention to start where you are.  Sign-up to join us

$35 for the Mini Retreat (if signed up before October 12)
$40 for the Mini Retreat (after October 12)

Mat space is limited as I like to encourage a comfortable and intimate environment and our mini retreats sell out.  Registration will close when we have reached capacity or by October 17 so we can prepare all the lovely touches.

Here’s me!  An everyday momma doing what she loves, being in-the-moment with her kids.  Yet I find if I don’t create space around my Me-Time, I’m less centered and balanced than I want to be to care for those I love.

My mindful movement yoga and meditation practice allows me to connect with my own inner light, and bring out the best in me and ultimately, my family.

Free Yoga – Honoring Moms

Free Yoga Class May 2 and May 9

On May 2 and May 9 at 7:30pm, One Yoga Philly is offering a free yoga class in exchange for your generosity to help support A Baby’s Breath.

A Baby’s Breath is in need of baby clothing donations (new and gently worn from birth – age 3), baby lotions and creams (new), and monetary donations made out to A Baby’s Breath to support their mission, “to help a mother to see her child take his/her first breath.”  These items can be dropped off at the gate of One Yoga Philly between now and May 9, or brought with you to class.  Please email us with any questions you might have.  If you are unable to join us for class, but would still like to donate, we’d love your support!  We are thankful to help serve those in need this May as we continue to support Moms on every aspect of their journey.

“A child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every passerby leaves a mark.” -Chinese proverb

Come get your mindful breath on!

I’ve been fascinated by the breath’s ability to heal.  Daily Om this week reminded us, “Human beings carry within themselves the seed of healing. Our choices affect us more than we realize.”  Each minute we are given anywhere between 12-20 breaths to “begin again” to connect with our ability to heal.
